The Inspection

Once your booking has been made and your day and time has been locked in, we will come out and inspect your pool barrier.

A comprehensive report will be completed onsite with photos and detailed videos if there is any rectification work needed on your pool barrier. We make the process super simple by explaining everything in detail so that you can get your pool safety certificate in the most time efficient manner

Certification

You will receive either a form 23 (Pool safety certificate) or a form 26 (Non conformity notice if your pool barrier is non compliant). You will receive either form on the same day as your inspection. Our aim is to get your pool safe and compliant in the quickest time possible, so if there happens to be any issues with your pool barrier, we are here to hold your hand through the process, providing  detailed reports with photos and video recommendations on rectifications.

PRICING

  • 1. Initial Inspection $210

The $210 inspection fee covers the inspection, and includes updating the pool register if required. Before the inspection takes place we check the QBCC website to confirm your pool is registered - if it isn't, we'll organise this for you. This fee also includes the detailed report we prepare at every inspection, with photos and videos explaining any areas that may need fixing before a certificate can be issued.

  • 2. Addition Pool/Spa $99

This price is for any additional pool or spa that may be situated on the premises.

  • 3. Reinspection Fee $110

If your pool barrier is not compliant and doesn't meet the standards, a $110 reinspection fee applies for us to come back out and reinspect your pool barrier once the rectification work has been carried out.

  • Consultation Fee $180

Pool safety and compliance can be tricky, which is why we offer our consultation service. Get your pool fence compliant the first time. We hold your hand through the process and are there to answer any questions you may have while starting on the venture of constructing your pool barrier.

  • 5. Pool Safety Certificate $47.30

The pool safety certificate cost is a government cost that goes to the QBCC for the issuing of your pool safety certificate.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How much does a pool safety certificate cost in Queensland?

A standard pool safety inspection is $210, with each additional pool or spa just $99. Once your pool passes, there's also the standard $47.30 QBCC fee to register your certificate. Have a look at our Pricing section above for the full breakdown.

  • What's the difference between a Form 23 and a Form 26?

Good question! A Form 23 is the one you want to see - it's your pool safety certificate, and it means your barrier has passed inspection. If a few things need attention first, we'll issue a Form 26 instead, which simply lists exactly what needs fixing so you know what to do next before we come back and reinspect.

  • Do you inspect pools outside the Fraser Coast?

Absolutely! While we're Fraser Coast locals at heart, we also cover Wide Bay, Bundaberg, the Sunshine Coast and North Brisbane - and no matter where we inspect, you'll get the same thorough standard and same-day certification.

  • Do I need a pool safety certificate to sell or lease my property?

Yes, you do. Queensland law requires a valid pool safety certificate before you can sell or lease a property with a pool, so it's worth getting this sorted early to avoid any last-minute stress.

  • What happens if my pool doesn't pass inspection?

No stress - it's actually pretty common. We'll issue a Form 26 that outlines exactly what needs fixing, then once you've had the repairs done, we'll come back out, reinspect, and get your certificate issued.

  • How long does a pool safety certificate last?

Your certificate is valid for 2 years if you've got a single dwelling pool, or 1 year if it's a shared pool - like at a unit complex or multi-dwelling property.
